A group with industrial and commercial presence in 118 countries, Renault designs, develops, manufactures and sells innovative, safe and environmentally-friendly vehicles worldwide. Renault is Europe's leading brand, the only vehicle manufacturer to have twelve cars with the maximum five-star Euro NCAP rating, and the winner of the Formula 1 World Championship for Constructors and Drivers. The Group is accelerating its international development with the new Logan and pursuing the Alliance with Nissan.

SALES IN 2010

The Renault group is reporting record sales volumes for 2010, with 2,6 million vehicles sold  (+ 14% on 2009). This performance is driven by strong growth outside Europe. The Group has increased its global market share  (3.7%) in line with targets. For 2011, the Group plans to continue expanding outside Europe and to defend its positions within Europe in a market where the end of government aids is expected to have a severe impact.

CONCEPTION

In line with its ambition to increase sales outside Europe, the Group designs and develops its vehicles at a global level: 

    - local development of vehicles ensures they respond closely to market requirements, 

    - advance planning of necessary modifications allows them to be marketed internationally.

MANUFACTURING

International industrial organization: 

    - 38 industrial sites in 17 countries ensure production occurs close to markets 

    - Standardization guarantees the same level of quality throughout the world 

    - International production capacities are expanding rapidly
