Created in 1966 and bought by Renault in 1999, Dacia is the most important auto maker in Romania. Its values are: simplicity, robustness and unbeatable value for money. A large part of its success comes from the emblematic vehicle: Logan. Dacia is also the Group's vector for development in Central and Eastern Europe.

- Body assembly and powertrain factory, the historic site of the Dacia brand 
- 8,222 employees (as of December 31, 2009), 3 production lines 
-  Since privatization in 1999, Renault has invested 489 million euros to bring the site up to Group standards 
- An efficient site: from a capacity of 200,000 units in 2004, Pitesti expended to 360,000 units in 2008 
- Certified ISO 14001 (environmental management standard) since 2005 
- Leading production site for Logan, and the only site to produce Logan, Logan MCV, Logan Van, Logan Pick-up , Sandero and Duster at the same time 
- Manufacture of various engines and gearboxes for Renault vehicles
